PDFT Training

I have had the privilege of working with Ron twice for training. Once for NRA LE Handgun/Shotgun Instructor, and once for his Advanced Pistol Class. Every class I take, I am impressed by his knowledge, and his ability to share that knowledge to make me a better shooter. I would gladly take a course from him again.

Absolutely the best

I am an NRA firearms instructor and Law Enforcement official. I have been shooting for more than 50 years and just completed Ron's two day course. Ron is an absolutely wonderful instructor and despite my experience, I learned so much to put to good use. I will just need to practice the things that Ron taught us. He made me a better shooter.

I have trained and work with Ron for many years. He is a true professional and excellent shooter and instructor. If you're considering a solid COI, you should attend one of his programs!

Great Training Ron, The class enjoyed the great instruction on the range. We enjoyed the experience that you brought and the passion for what you do and breadth of knowledge was very evident to us. Great training and highly recommended for Instructors.

Ron, this is John S. from this past weeks firearms class. I gained a lot of new information and training methods that I am going to work on and pass along to the deputies. You are a great instructor. Thanks for what you do. God Bless.

Over the past couple of years I’ve been to a couple of firearms training classes (NRA Law Enforcement Pistol/Shotgun Instructor School and the FBI Firearms Instructor School). By far, you’ve been the most encouraging and challenging instructor I’ve had. You’re knowledge and love of firearms training is evident in everything you do. Thanks again for all you do to make us better! Officer J.

I had the opportunity to train with Ron a few years ago. Over the course of several days Ron’s passion for what he does and breadth of knowledge was very evident. He provides a very personal training experience. Ron is relaxed in his delivery of the content. He does a great job at combining his real-world experience with the prescribed curriculum. By doing this, Ron creates an excellent learning environment. His professionalism is beyond reproach. I look forward to the next opportunity to train with him.

"I had the pleasure of training under Ron in the NRA Law Enforcement Instructor qualification course, and again as an adjunct instructor for him several months later in Miami. He teaches with a very humble style that will immediately put you in the comfort zone, which is imperative if you are going to retain any information. Ron comes from a well rounded, extensive background through which he has acquired a ton of experience. As a former Navy SEAL and having been through quite a few courses I can say the product that Ron puts out combined with his at ease style of instruction is most certainly a cut above the rest. Beginner or advanced, everyone will walk away with a valuable experience. I look forward to training with Ron many more times in the years to come."

World Class Instructor

I met Ron in a "train the trainer" environment when he was the master instructor for an NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor course for Tactical Shooting Instructor I was attending for certification. Having spent 4 years in a Marine Corps combat unit and then the last 13 years in high-end domestic private security contracting, I've taken my fair share of small arms training by various quality instructors. These classes ranged from basic courses to MOUNT instructor courses and Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor certifications. I can say without hesitation that Ron is among the very best of these instructors. It is rare that you find an elite tactician who is also a stellar trainer. Ron is down to earth, knowledgeable, approachable and totally committed to his craft and the survivability of his students. I have been teaching firearms professionally for 15 years and Ron's methodology, integrity and passion present a strong model to emulate. I've had the pleasure to get to know Ron a little better since taking his class and he continues to offer assistance and support to this day. Athenian historian and General Thucydides famously said, "The Nation that makes a great distinction between its scholars and its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting done by fools." Thucydides would've been proud to count Ron Flowers among his ranks. The "warrior poet" is a dying breed. I'm glad to see those special few still keeping the notion alive and consider myself blessed to know Ron and have learned from him. If you have the opportunity to take one of his classes, do it.

Never Stop Learning

I recently attended a patrol rifle two day refresher class put on by Ron at Police Defensive Firearms Training. I have twenty years of experience as a police officer, eight of which as an operator on a tactical team and four as a firearms instructor and I found that this class taught me a number of new training techniques to use with my home agency. Ron honed my skills to perform at a higher level.
