LE Advanced Pistol (2 Day Class)

This two-day class is designed to increase an officer’s efficiency, speed, and accuracy with their duty and/or off-duty handgun, with a goal of eliminating bad habits that cost time and installing correct technique.

The course will consist of approximately 1 hour instruction on firearm safety, the safe and correct way to handle and operate your pistol on and off the range, and a quick recap on the Fundamentals of pistol marksmanship. The initial instruction will be followed by 12 hours of gradually perplexing drills that involve a variety of shooting positions, distances, and target types. Drills will be performed from multiple positions and will include movement. These drills are designed to improve accuracy and speed. Upon completion of this course the student will have a thorough understanding of firearm safety, firearm operation, and the ability to engage multiple targets both static and on the move.

Classes have limited enrollment to ensure maximum one-on-one interaction and coaching.

Individual equipment (Student Furnished):
  • Pistol with a minimum of 4 magazines
  • Belt with magazine pouches or vest (kit)
  • Weapon cleaning kit (with oil)
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Food and water (1 hour lunch break)
  • Hat
  • Rain gear
  • Sun screen

Course Objective: The student will achieve a high level of confidence in the safe handling and operation of their pistol with a substantial improvement in accuracy and speed of target engagement.

Training Schedule: Show time is 8:30 am with instruction starting at 9:00 am and ending at 4 pm. A one-hour period is allotted for lunch.
